3/10/10 Experience Ireland at Merchant's Fine Wine
3/10/10 Experience Ireland at Merchant's Fine Wine | dearborn,irish,st patricks day,merchants,wine,guinness,beer,liquor,music

It’s the weekend before St. Patrick’s Day, and many of you reading this are gonna want to pick up some Guinness Stout beer, or maybe some Jameson, to celebrate your Irishness, even if you’re Italian or Polish.

So if you do, in fact, plan on picking up some alcoholic Irish goodies this weekend, might I suggest heading over to Merchant’s Fine Wines around, say, 5:00p on Saturday.

Why wait til then? Well, in addition to getting some great deals on Guinness and other Irish beers and booze, you’ll have the distinct pleasure of hearing a genuine Irishman in a kilt playing bagpipes.

Seriously, no other liquor store in Dearborn this weekend will be offering you a total immersion in the sounds of Ireland while you shop. So if you wanna do St. Patty’s right, do it at Merchant’s.

On Saturday.

At, or around, 5 o’clock.

Merchant’s Fine Wine is located at 22250 Michigan Avenue. Hours are 10a-8p, Monday-Thursday; 10a-9p, Friday-Saturday; and noon-5p on Sunday.

I had a cousin that called the bagpipes a "sack flute." Now I can't hear bagpipes without thinking of that and giggling like a girl.
